Kenny Basumatary’s Local Kung Fu created a sensation in the Assamese film industry and among the Indian film community back in 2013. It was dubbed as India’s First Kung Fu Film. Kenny Basumatary’s next venture Local Utpaat is going to be released on 13th May, 2022. Now the question arises: Will Local Utpaat be the next Local Kung Fu? By seeing the trailer, my 6th sense tells me, it will be a level up than Local Kung Fu.

One of the unique features of the film is that, some of the budget of the film was crowd funded by the director of the film Kenny Basumatary through wishberry.in.
More than 1270+ contributed money for the film. An amount of ₹10 lakhs is said to be collected from this crowdfunding.
LOCAL UTPAAT TRAILER
The trailer of the Assamese film local utpaat was released on 8th April, 2022. The trailer is interesting and film seems promising. Almost all the characters of the film are introduced in the trailer.
LOCAL UTPAAT FILM STROYLINE FROM THE TRAILER
Deban is a landlord who has a problem with sleepwalking. 3 boys named Amit, Jonny and Montu stay in his house as tenants. Montu is shown having martial skills.
Next, the trailer introduces Maya, who is Amit’s girlfriend. She is a fitness freak and have martial skills. She has an elder sister, Moni. Her father is a national level shooter.
Kenny Deori Basumatary the director, writer and editor of Local Utpaat also stars in the film as Robin. He is Amit’s elder brother and disaster prone guy. Bad and catastrophic things happen to chase him. It is shown he brushes his teeth with Odomos Mosquito repellent cream thinking it to be toothpaste.
Apart from them, there is Maya’s ex-boyfriend, job dallal, kidney seller, kidney surgeon Dr Kabir Pratap Singh (KP), Local Gunda Jango and his gang. And last but not the least, Breakup Guru – BUG Da. He is going to be my favorite.
Local Utpaat revolves around the mischievous thing done by the above mentioned character s around the city. The fill will be full of comedy, action, etc which you can watch with your whole family.
