TEA TRIBES WELFARE DEPARTMENT ASSAM
The Assam Tea Employee Welfare Board is a statutory body constituted under Assam Tea Plantation Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 1959. The sole objective of this department is to to promote Welfare of the tea plantation laborers in Assam.

The Directorate of Tea Tribes Welfare is the nodal agency for implementing various schemes and scholarships of the Tea Tribes of Assam.

SIRISH SCHOLARSHIP ASSAM
As of 2022 there are 6 scholarships and schemes under Sirish Scholarship Assam. Some are for School Students and others for college students of Tea Tribes of Assam. These scholarships are also known as TTWD Scholarships.

Pre-Matric scholarship for Tea Tribes provides financial assistance/money to the students of Class 9 and Class 10 of the Tea Tribes community of Assam.
ELIGIBILITY FOR PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP
- The student must be a permanent resident of Assam and must belong to the Tea Tribes Community.
- Family income should not exceed ₹5 lakh per annum/year
- All children of the same parents/guardians are eligible.
- Bank Account in the name of the student.

For the Fresh Applicant or New Applicant following documents are required to be uploaded.
- Original copy of Birth Certificate.
- Undertaking on annual income as per attached format.
- Original copy of caste certificate.
- Original copy of Mark-sheet of last examination passed.

AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP FOR PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP
The amount of scholarships under Pre-Matric Scholarship for Tea Tribes (Sirish Scholarship Assam) is ₹3000/- per annum.
POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP
Post-Matric scholarship for Tea Tribes provides money to the students of Tea Tribes community of Assam after passing Class 10.
The students pursuing the following courses are eligible.
- Class 11 and Class 12
- 3 Years Degree Course like BA, BSc, BBA, B.Com
- Integrated Courses with 3 Years Degree courses
ELIGIBILITY FOR PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP
- The student must be a permanent resident of Assam and must belong to the Tea Tribes Community.
- Family income should not exceed ₹5 lakh per annum/year
- All children of the same parents/guardians are eligible.
- Bank Account in the name of the student.
- Students studying through correspondence course are also eligible to apply.

AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP
For CLass 11 and 12 the amount of scholarship given is ₹5000/- per annum. And for 3 Years Degree Course it is ₹7000/- per annum.
SIMONG SING HORO SPECIAL POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP
Simong Sing Hero Special Post-Matric Scholarship provides one time financial assistance to each student of Tea Tribe of Assam who have passed Class 10 under SEBA Board and Class 12 under AHSEC.
ELIGIBILITY FOR SIMONG SING HORO SPECIAL POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP
- The students should have passed Class 10 or HSLC examinations from SEBA or equivalent educational board recognized by Govt. of Assam and Class 12 or HSSLC examinations from AHSEC or equivalent educational board recognized by Govt. of Assam.
- The student must provide admission receipts as proof for continuing his/her studies in the next level.
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam and must belong to the Tea Tribes Community.

ELIGIBILITY FOR SIRISH SCHOLARSHIP ASSAM
Eligibility criteria for all the 6 scholarships under Sirish Scholarship Assam are almost the same. They are listed below
