WHAT DOES GRADE 3 POST MEAN?
If any government official is deputed for some official work outside his/her office, he/she gets allowances. These allowances are Traveling Allowances(TA) , Daily Allowances(DA) and other allowances
But these allowances are not the same for every employee. So, a gradation or category is made for the purpose of providing TA, DA and other allowances to the government employees of Assam.
The gradation is made on the Grade Pay of the government employee. The grades are Senior Garde, Grade I, Garde II, Grade III and Grade IV. As of now, the garde of post is provided below.

So, any Assam government employee with Grade pay from ₹5000/- to ₹8700/- is known as Grade III employee.
