Khelo India University Games Guwahati 2023 544 athletes competing in 20 Sports across 18 Venues from 17th February, 2024 to 29th February, 2024.

Anurag Singh Thakur, our Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, inaugurated the highly anticipated Khelo India University Games 2023 in Guwahati on 19th February, 2024.  The event received a boost with Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharing encouraging remarks.

Ashtalakshmi: Mascot of Khelo India University Games Guwahati

PM Modi highlighted the significance of the Games’ mascot, Ashtalakshmi, resembling a butterfly. He noted how it reflects the soaring aspirations of the North East, symbolizing newfound hope and opportunities.

Anurag Singh Thakur echoed sentiments of unity and passion, expressing hopes that the Khelo India University Games would ignite a flame of enthusiasm and togetherness across the nation.
