STEP 1

Visit the self assessment form fill website of Guwahati Municipal Corporation to fill up the details. Please click the link below to go directly to the Self Assessment Online Form of GMC.

STEP 3

Fill up the details in capital letters carefully, wherever applicable. There are 4 sections in the form as mentioned below.

• Owner Details
• Property Details
• Construction Details
• Contact Details

In the contact details, enter your mobile number, and press get OTP. You will get a message once the OTP is sent to your mobile as “OTP sent successfully to your mobile number“

Once the OTP is received in your mobile number, enter it in the next column and click verify. Once verified you will get message as “OTP verified successfully”

After filling up all the details click next.

STEP 4

In the next page you have to fill up the information relating to

• Details of your land
• Use of your Land.

Then you have to upload the following documents one by one. Please keep in mind the documents should be in jpg or png or PDF format but it should be below 1MB.

Tick mark the declaration part and submit your details.

STEP 6

After these steps, you will be shown how much tax you have pay. The following items will be shown.

• Total property tax per annum
• Total property tax per quarter
• Year of Construction
• W.E.F
• Total Arrear from previous year
• Penalty
• Total amount should be paid.

After this you will be asked to pay the property tax, then only your assessment id will be generated.

STEP 7 – PAYMENT

Now, you have make online payment of the property tax. After successful payment click on “Bill Generate” to generate your assessment id.

After 2-3 working days you can check your application stats. If it is approved your holding number will be generated.

Please keep in mind the default status shown is “Rejected”. Don’t panic, wait for 2-3 days.
